On March 11, in order to ensure the efficient and stable operation of equipment during the peak power generation period in spring, staff from Zhejiang Dayou Group’s Lin’an branch utilized a cleaning robot to clean the photovoltaic panels located on the rooftops of their factory. The robot thoroughly removed dust, bird droppings, and other stains accumulated on the surface of the panels.
According to the staff on-site, to enhance the photoelectric conversion efficiency, it is generally required that photovoltaic power plants undergo deep cleaning once per quarter. It is estimated that the power generation efficiency of the cleaned power plant could increase by 5% to 10%, effectively improving the conversion efficiency of the photovoltaic modules.
Currently, this cleaning robot has been in stable use for over three years, significantly increasing the efficiency and safety of cleaning photovoltaic panels during actual operations. For instance, for the photovoltaic plant project cleaned that day, covering an area of approximately 7,000 square meters, manual cleaning typically requires about four people to work for four to five days. However, with the cleaning robot, two people can complete all cleaning tasks in just two days.
It is worth mentioning that the use of this cleaning robot greatly minimizes the potential damage to the photovoltaic panels that can occur due to climbing during manual cleaning, thereby protecting the safe and stable operation of the panels.
Currently, the Lin’an branch of Zhejiang Dayou Group has invested in 48 photovoltaic power plants within the Lin’an district and is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 9 power plants, with a total photovoltaic capacity of approximately 69 megawatts. Since the beginning of the year, the branch has actively conducted inspections and cleaning work on distributed photovoltaic projects in the region, contributing to the development of green energy in the area.
